About Me
I grew up in a small town in western Kansas, helping on the farm and playing three sports throughout school. After high school, I earned my degree in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism from McPherson College, where I played four years of college volleyball and was the news editor for the college paper.
Playing, and now coaching, volleyball is one of my biggest passions and it is a big part of my life. I started out helping with summer camps under Coach Steve Morgan in Ogallala, Neb. From there I began coaching winter volleyball and was an assistant for the middle school team in my hometown. I am currently in my second year as the head high school coach at Scott Community High School.
My full-time job as a recreation assistant director is amazing because it combines my love for athletics with my passion for working with children. I get to teach kids how to hit a volleyball, shoot a basketball and dribble in soccer, and I find it very rewarding.
